The mission of the Controller's Office is to provide accurate and timely financial reporting to our internal and external stakeholders, provide accounting guidance and support to campus departments, provide timely and accurate payments of university funds to our vendors, and ensure the payments are consistent with the University guidelines of the State of Arkansas' financial regulations.
Areas of Responsibility include:
- Annual financial statements
- External agency reporting
- Internal/ad hoc management reporting
- Coordination with Arkansas Division of Legislative Audit for annual financial audit
- Chart of Accounts maintenance
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Oversight of accounting functions
- Approval of journal entries and reconciliations
- Vendor payments
- Sponsored Programs Accounting
- Travel Services
- Fixed Assets
- Property Management
