Writing Program
Welcome to the Writing Program at Arkansas State University!
Arkansas State University is a public state university that sits atop the hills of Crowley's Ridge. Arkansas State University (A-State) is the second largest university in the state with more than 13,000 students and 160+ fields of study. In the past few years, A-State has not only increased its enrollment, but it has also increased its standards for enrollment. As Arkansas State University has continued to grow and achieve, as has their need for better writing instruction and support.
That’s where we come in. The Arkansas State University Writing Program is housed in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences’ Department of English and Philosophy. We have a variety of programs and services aimed at improving and supporting writing across campus at all levels.
