Chang is Co-Author of Business Textbook Chang is Co-Author of Business Textbook

Dr. Erick Chang, associate professor of management, is co-author of Entrepreneurial Family Businesses, a new textbook available in Europe. Chang wrote chapters on innovation and international expansion, and developed stories and cases that featured several companies, including Arkansas-based Ritter Communications and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Grupo Salinas in Mexico. Chang also was interviewed for website WalletHub about selecting business credit cards.

 
Vickrey's Work Accepted for Berlin Exhibition

Artwork by Kim Vickrey, professor of graphic design, has been accepted for an exhibition at Hoppegarten Gallery in Germany. Vickrey’s piece, “Pendragon,” will be included in the juried show later this year, after the original opening was postponed due to the international pandemic.  Pendragon is a 39 by 47-inch metallic digital print, a new art medium for preserving photographs by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets.

Cates and KASU Receive Showcase Grant

The Kays Foundation has approved a grant proposal from Kristy Cates, development director, KASU, to provide funding to support production of an original radio program that will showcase student and faculty vocal and instrumental talents in the Department of Music. The hour-long program, to be aired weekly, will be called "In Performance @A-State." The $7,500 grant will cover costs associated with the program production.

Brown Writes Proposal for Pediatric Rehab Lab Brown Writes Proposal for Pediatric Rehab Lab

Congratulations to Andrea Brown, assistant professor of occupational therapy, who wrote a successful grant proposal to the Kays Foundation for the 2020-21 year. The $28,471 grant will provide equipment and materials to develop an interprofessional pediatric rehabilitation lab. The lab will be shared by programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology. The shared space will serve several purposes, including interdisciplinary learning experiences.

 
Hill Reappointed to Journal Editorial Board Hill Reappointed to Journal Editorial Board

Dr. Myleea Hill, professor of strategic communication, has been reappointed to the Journal of Public Interest Communications’ editorial board. Hill, who has been a member of JPIC’s board since its founding in 2017, primarily reviews articles related to advertising, public relations and pedagogy in public interest communications, a discipline that seeks to help communicators working on social, political, and environmental issues that impact society.
