Choirs to Present “Thank You” Concert, Feb. 18
JONESBORO – The Arkansas State University Choirs will present a preview of their upcoming All-State Music Conference concert on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. in Wesley Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro.
This concert, which is free and open to the public, is presented as a “thank you” to all Northeast Arkansas churches, clubs and individuals who have supported the choir members in fundraising efforts for their upcoming trip to Spain.
Selections to be performed are “Let the People Praise Thee” by Maurice Monhardt, “Vere Languores Nostros” by Tomas Luis de Victoria, “Beatus Vir Qui Timet Dominum” by Johann M. Haydn, “Pater Noster” by Johnathan Adams, “O Vos Omnes” Pablo Casals, “Her Sacred Spirit Sours” by Eric Whitacre, “A Tu Lado” by Javier Busto, and “Cert’nly Lawd” by Moses Hogan.
