JONESBORO, Ark. – Bringing together social media content, media releases and feature stories at one internet address is the goal of Arkansas State University’s news page.

Created to enhance the current news page of the university’s official website, AState.edu, the improved news page complements the features already available in the university’s official mobile app, A-State Smart Campus.

To go directly to the new information page, AState.edu/News, click on the “News” button on the university home page.

“For students and faculty, alumni and community members that utilize a web browser, the enhanced news page is a way to bring together several different information streams into one place,” executive director of marketing and communication Bill Smith said.

Users can filter the content to show only A-State media releases, videos released through the university’s Digital Creative team and other specialty content like the employee weekly e-newsletter, Inside A-State. The page also incorporates windows to view the university’s official social media feeds from Facebook, Twitter and InstaGram.

While the A-State news page is optimized for mobile device use, many Arkansas State followers prefer to use A-State SmartCampus. SmartCampus is available for iOS or Android mobile devices, and includes all of the university’s news and social feeds. It also adds mobile access to streaming audio from KASU and Red Wolf Radio.

To download the official A-State apps, go to AState.edu/SmartCampus and click on either the iOS or Android version.
