A-State Staff Distinguished Performance Awards To Be Presented at Campus Ceremony, Thursday, May 2

JONESBORO -- The 20th Annual Distinguished Performance Awards and Service Recognition for non-faculty employees will be held Thursday, May 2, at 1:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall in the Carl R. Reng Student Union.

Phillip Ladd, president of Staff Senate, will serve as host for the program. Chancellor Tim Hudson will present service certificates in recognition of staff members who have completed 10, 20, and 30 years of service at Arkansas State University.

The Distinguished Performance Awards will be presented by vice chancellors. Individuals who have retired this academic year or plan to do so also will be recognized.

A dessert reception will follow immediately after the ceremony. Everyone is invited to attend.

The presentation of the Distinguished Performance Awards was initiated in 1994 to recognize outstanding job performance and long-time service by the university’s non-faculty employees, both classified and non-classified.

The Distinguished Performance Award recipients for 2012-2013 are:

  • Rookie of the Year – Nadia Eslinger, Residence

  • LifeTeam Player – Ricky Miller, Department of Management and Marketing

  • Unsung Hero – Kim Parker, Student Account Services

  • Team Achievement (Departmental Award) – Printing Services (David Maloch, Pradeep Mishra, Phareta Calkin, Floyd Cozart, Terry Corn, Lou Adams-Ray, Steven Franks, Bryan Stevenson, Arcadio Gil)

  • Extra Mile – Jerrod Lockhart, Student Support Services

  • Outstanding Part-Time – Mary Bailey, Arkansas Biosciences Institute

  • Faculty Outstanding Recipient of Collaborative Efforts (FORCE) – Dr. Andrew Sustich, Vice Provost for Research & Graduate Studies
