Art + Design Plans 'Second Saturday' Creative Activity

JONESBORO – The Department of Art + Design at Arkansas State University will continue its Second Saturday monthly arts projects this week, Jan. 11.
The theme this month is silhouette portraits. In this throwback to the 1970s, participants will sit while their profile is traced then create a silhouette keepsake.
All ages are welcome, but participants need to be able to sit still for two to three minutes while their profile is being traced.
A-State printmaker Shelley Gipson invites interested individuals to drop in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 205 of the Fine Arts Center.
Second Saturday is free, and alumni are especially welcomed, according to Dr. Temma Balducci, professor of art history and department chair.
