ASU Museum to Host TinkerFest ’16

06/08/2016

JONESBORO – TinkerFest is a free, one-day festival that celebrates the creative, curious and innovative spirit at Arkansas State University Museum.

On Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Museum will bring together makers, engineers, scientists, educators, business people, and tinkerers to engage visitors of all ages in DIY (do it yourself) fun.

On this special day, tinkering activities galore will commandeer the Museum’s premises both inside and out.  Guests will have a heyday participating in interactive activities such as cardboard house construction, stop-motion animation, 3D printing, bouncing-bubble making, stomp rocket assembly and flight, 3Doodler object making, and more.

TinkerFest is sponsored by the Arkansas Discovery Network, which is funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. The event is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

For more TinkerFest information, contact curator of education, Jill Kary, jkary@astate.edu or (870) 972‑2074.
