JONESBORO – The Arkansas State Athletics Department has announced its game promotions and additional information for its final three home football games this season.

The first of the Red Wolves’ three remaining home games is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, when they will host Sun Belt Conference opponent Louisiana-Lafayette in a nationally-televised game on ESPN2.  A-State’s contest against the Ragin’ Cajuns will be its first of two consecutive games at Centennial Bank Stadium as the Red Wolves will host Georgia State 11 days later at 6 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Following three straight road games, A-State will hold its annual Senior Day when it hosts Texas State at 2 p.m. on Dec. 5 in its regular-season finale.  Tickets for Red Wolves’ football games can be purchased at the A-State Ticket Office, located at the Convocation Center’s lower red entrance.  Tickets may also be purchased by calling 870-972-2781 or by visiting AStateRedWolves.com, the official web site of A-State Athletics.

A-State’s game against UL Lafayette has been dubbed “Heroes’ Night,” and will include a special military recognition, patriotic halftime performance by The Sound of the Natural State, ROTC “Hall of Heroes” halftime salute, KFIN Fireworks pre- and post-game show and distribution of mini American flags to the first 10,000 fans.

A-State will hold its traditional Red Wolf Walk at 4:45 p.m., which will be followed at 5 p.m. by a 90 minute concert by Buddy Jewell in Hays Tailgate Town that will free to all those who have a ticket for the game.  Additionally, the Red Wolves Dancers will have an in-game performance, Holt Agribusiness is giving away 10 YETI coolers throughout the course of the evening and it will be Craighead County Schools Night.  St. Bernard’s will be the official game sponsor in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A-State’s contest against Georgia State has been declared the Red Wolves’ “HOWL-O-WEEN” game, and could be considered Arkansas’ biggest costume party.  Fans are encouraged to bring candy to their tailgates to hand out to trick or treaters, and Hays Tailgate Town will have even more trick or treat opportunities for kids, who will receive special prizes for collecting the most candy.

Staying with the “HOWL-O-WEEN” theme, the A-State football team will be throwing out candy at Red Wolf Walk beginning at approximately 3:45, and there will be a pregame march around the field for all kids in costume.  The Sound of the Natural State and their Future Band Members will have a costumed halftime performance, the concession stands will offer special Halloween themed items, and there will be Halloween themed promotions and a costume contest.

Additionally, the game will serve as a Youth League and Spirit Day with specially priced tickets for youth football teams and spirit squads.  Details for this event may be obtained by contacting Jason Martin at 870-972-2950 or jamartin@astate.edu.

Finally, the night will feature a post-game autograph and “meet the team” session on the field, as well as a recognition of the 1975 undefeated Arkansas State football team and 2015 A-State Athletics Hall of Honor inductees.  Andy’s Frozen Custard is the game sponsor.

The Red Wolves “Senior Day” game against Texas State will see the senior members of the football team honored prior to the game before a National Anthem performance by the cast of FOA’s “White Christmas.”  Sonic Drive-In restaurants is the game sponsor.

A photo booth will be placed on the Centennial Bank Stadium concourse for fans to enjoy, along with halftime and in-game performances by The Sound of the Natural State and the A-State dance team.  The contest will also serve as A-State’s “Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day.”
