Dr. Dan Howard Appointed Chancellor of LSU Alexandria
JONESBORO – Dr. Dan Howard, a professor of educational leadership and former administrator at Arkansas State University, today was named chancellor of Louisiana State University Alexandria.
“We congratulate Dr. Howard on his selection as the chancellor of LSU Alexandria and wish him and Anne well as they embark on this new stage of his career,” commented Dr. Charles L. Welch, president of the Arkansas State University System. “His various leadership roles during his time with Arkansas State demonstrate his commitment to higher education, and we appreciate the many contributions he made to A-State.”
Howard came to Arkansas State as vice chancellor for academic affairs and research in 2008, then was named interim chancellor in 2010. He returned to full-time faculty status in 2012 as a tenured professor in the College of Education and Behavioral Science.
