JONESBORO – Arkansas State University’s Fowler Center will present a concert by Huntertones Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall, as part of its annual performing arts series.  The group is returning to Fowler Center following a very successful 2016 performance.

Huntertones brings people together around the globe with fun, imaginative and fearless music. Their high energy, horn-driven sound fuses inspired improvisation and adventurous composition melding jazz, funk, rock and soul.

Adding depth and contrast to their live set, Huntertones shift from a dynamic six-piece ensemble to a trio featuring saxophone, sousaphone and beat-boxing, keeping their listeners’ eyes and ears open at every turn.

“Just back from an unforgettable night at the Monterey Jazz Festival, the mighty Huntertones will make their second Riceland appearance," said Dr. Kenneth Carroll, director of jazz studies at A-State.  "Grammy-nominated artists with an eclectic musical style, their exciting concerts are always a must-see for music lovers.  They truly are one of the finest ensembles playing today.  Chris Ott, Dan White, and Jon Lampley create furious funk, soul, gospel, rhythm and blues, rock and jazz.”

All seating is reserved.  Individual tickets are $35 and $25 for adults, and $28 and $20 for senior citizens, students, and A-State faculty and staff, and $15 and $10 for A-State students with a current ID. Group discounts are available for groups of 15 or more.
