Music Department to Present Faculty Recital, Feb. 9

JONESBORO – The Department of Music at Arkansas State University will present the third concert in the 2014-2015 Faculty Recital Series on Monday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center's Riceland Hall, 201 Olympic Dr.  Admission is free.

The recital will feature faculty members Dr. Lauren Schack Clark, Dr. Sarah Jones-Hayes, Matt Carey, Brian Henkelmann, Dr. Dale Miller, Dr. Marika Kyriakos, Dr. Don Bowyer and Dr. Dale Clark.

The program will include performances of “Rondo Brillant” by Franz Schubert, performed by Sarah Jones-Hayes and Lauren Schack Clark; “Sonata for Bassoon and Piano” by Crystal Godfrey LaPoint, performed by Dale Clark and Lauren Schack Clark; “Nach Raum und Zeit” by Derek M. Jenkins, performed by Marika Kyriakos and Lauren Schack Clark; "Te Deum" from "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini, performed by Matt Carey and London Johnston, the Chamber Singers, Brian Henkelmann, Lauren Schack Clark, and Emily Lindley, with Dr. Dale Miller conducting; and “50+50 Trombone Triathlon” performed by Don Bowyer.

The audience is encouraged to visit the Bradbury Gallery during intermission.  The current installation is the Delta National Small Prints exhibition.
