Students Can Pick Up Extra Credits during Winter Session

10/27/2020

JONESBORO – Registration opens Monday, Nov. 2, for winter session, the period between fall and spring semesters, at Arkansas State University.

A-State is bringing back the three-week online semester for undergraduate students who want to complete some extra credit hours during the holiday break between fall and spring semesters. The winter session runs Monday, Dec. 21, through Friday, Jan. 8.

A listing of available courses, which are taught by A-State faculty, and more details on how to sign up for courses are available on the A-State website. Interested students should check the list and consult with their adviser regarding how the winter session courses might help meet a degree plan requirement.

Classes are open not only to current A-State students, but also to students from other institutions who want to pick hours for transfer, or students who are interested in starting their A-State experience.

By completing hours during winter session, students might stay on track to finish a degree, catch up on credits, or complete a course required for a particular degree plan. Financial aid is available.

The cost per credit hour is the same as any other A-State course, including any differential tuition charged by individual colleges. Students with institutional scholarships may be eligible to apply a portion to the tuition and fees. Registration closes Dec. 6 [UPDATE . . . registration extended through Dec. 20].
