Students Elect A-State's 2019 Homecoming Court Members

JONESBORO – Members of Arkansas State University's 2019 Homecoming Court were introduced Monday night.

Online voting for queen and king will be Friday, Oct. 25.  Winners will be announced during the court presentation and crowning ceremonies Saturday prior to A-State's 6 p.m. game with Texas State at Centennial Bank Stadium.

Members of the Homecoming Court who are finalists for queen, with hometown, classification, major, sponsor and parents are:

  • Kynlee Cunningham of Bryant, a senior psychology major, nominated by Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Her parents are Jerry Cunningham and Mickey Cunningham.
  • Emily Doggett of Jonesboro, a senior exercise science major with a minor in psychology, nominated by A-State Spirit Squad. Her parents are Doug Doggett and Jennifer Doggett.
  • Brayton Ragsdale of Jonesboro, a senior nursing major, nominated by Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Her parents are Jeremy Ragsdale and Amber Wade.
  • Taren Thind of White Hall, a senior biology and chemistry major with a pre-professional emphasis, nominated by the Honors College. Her parents are Sukhdev Singh and Gurjeet Kaur.
  • Erika Tuck of Jonesboro, a senior Interdisciplinary studies major, nominated by Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Her parents are Sam Tuck and Rebecca Tuck.

Members of the Homecoming Court who are finalists for king, with hometown, classification, major, sponsor and parents are:

  • Andrew Elmore of Maumelle, a senior marketing major, nominated by Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. His parents are Mark Elmore and Tanya Elmore.
  • Zhedrick Jackson of Jonesboro, a senior world languages major with an emphasis in Spanish, nominated by Sister 2 Sister. His parents are Perry Jackson and Melissa Jackson.
  • McKinley James of Dumas, a senior marketing major, nominated by Delta Zeta Sorority Inc. His parents are McKinley James and Cellestine James.
  • Justus Sawyer of Jonesboro, a junior civil engineering major, nominated by Student Philanthropy Council. His parents are John Sawyer and Dia Sawyer. 
  • Danny Vivar of Bryant, a senior strategic communications major, nominated by Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. His parents are Adrian Vivar and Noelia Vivar.


Little Miss A-State will be Taelor Calloway, daughter of Tiffny and TaDarelle Calloway.  Little Mister A‑State will be Tyler Bowie, son of T. Terell Bowie and Pamela Bailey Bowie.
