Students receive College of Business scholarships

JONESBORO, AR – Four Arkansas State University students were recently awarded scholarships by the College of Business at the annual “Business, Blue Jeans and BBQ” event at the Cooper Alumni Center and sponsored by Baldwin & Shell Construction Company.

The annual event serves as a fundraiser for the College of Business Scholarship Fund.

The four recipients are Daniel Wall of Chester, Va.; Joshua Parker of Luxora; Randy Riddle of Vilonia; and Taylor Allison of Hot Springs.

Wall is a sophomore accounting major with an interest in internal auditing. His goal is to secure a position as an accountant within the multimedia industry. Parker is a management major with emphasis on human resources. Riddle is pursuing a degree in computer information and technology with a minor in E-commerce. Following graduation, he plans to earn his masters and doctoral degrees in management information systems and hopes to become a university professor of chief information officer of a Fortune 500 company.

Allison is a sophomore accounting major with a minor in finance. An ASU’s Honor College student,

Allison hopes to spend her junior year studying in Germany. She wants to earn her masters of accountancy and sit for the certified public account exam immediately upon graduation.
