Welcome from the faculty, staff and students of the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Arkansas State University. The Department is home to 21 faculty and a group of dedicated support staff, students and postdoctoral associates in all areas of chemistry and physics.
Many of our colleagues hold joint or associate appointments with the Department of Biology, the College of Engineering, the Environmental Sciences program, and/or the Arkansas Biosciences Institute. Outstanding in-house instrumental facilities help to provide a stimulating research environment.
Our faculty and students also do research in the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, an 82,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility that provides much of the housing for our two PhD programs, Molecular Biosciences and Environmental Sciences.
