Morning General Sessions
The general session begins at 8:30 a.m. and features five presentations:
- Dr. Bert Greenwalt, professor of agricultural economics and director of A-State Agribusiness Conference, provides opening remarks, followed by Dean Mickey LaTour with announcements from the College of Agriculture.
- Harrison Pittman, director of the National Agricultural Law Center, will present a talk entitled 30th A-State Agribusiness Conference: Back to the Future.
- President & CEO of AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Greg Cole will discuss observations on farm and agribusiness trends.
- RiceTec's Head of Transformation & Business Development, Megan DeYoung and Chad Brewer from the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, will discuss sustainability issues for rice and cotton.
- The Economics and Politics of the U.S. Farm Bill will be presented by Dr. Keith Coble, vice president of the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, & Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University.
