Welcome to Arkansas State University!

Information Sessions

Information sessions at A-State allow employers to share their company information. Not only will students be more informed about your organization, but you will have an opportunity to meet potential candidates in advance of your recruiting visit. To schedule information sessions for your company, please visit Handshake and use the events tab, or contact Career Development & Engagement.

Information Table

Information tables are set up for a designated time on the second floor of the Reng Student Union. These tables are in the heart of the flow of the students traveling through the union. These tables are great ways to interact with students and encourage attendance to later information sessions, direct students to job postings on Handshake or just interact with students about upcoming opportunities. To schedule an information table, please use Handshake and select the events tab.

Classroom Visits

These visits allow the recruiter to visit classes for applicable majors they are recruiting. To ensure maximum exposure in classrooms, please allow two weeks’ notice to allow contact with professors and plan the schedule for the recruiting day.

Schedule On-Campus Interviews

To interview bright, talented A-State students, you may request interview dates and selection criteria through Career Services. Interviews will be held in the Reng Student Union. Rooms for interviews will vary depending on the type of interview and how many recruiters are present. A-State Career Development & Engagement is happy to offer different types of interviews depending on the desire of the recruiting company.

Pre-Select schedules let you review resumes and choose preferred candidates to interview on the day of your campus visit. Companies may view candidates’ resumes and applications through Handshake. Recruiters may then communicate with students through e-mail to invite them to the on-campus interviews.

Open Schedules allow students who meet your requirements to sign up on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no pre-screening, and resumes are not required as part of the sign-up process.

All on campus interviews can be scheduled through Handshake.
