Program Overview
Communities and regions thrive with strong leadership. The Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy is designed by Arkansas State University to further develop a talent pipeline of women equipped with the tools, resources, knowledge and network to be successful. Attendees will gain the skills they need to communicate, negotiate, and lead with confidence.
Benefits of the Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy
The Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy is a unique program designed to promote talented and motivated women into leadership roles in their communities and/or organizations. Speakers will be Arkansas women of distinction in business, government, education and healthcare. Additionally, participants will have an opportunity to complete a project in their community or organization.
Who Should Apply?
High-performing women leaders, 21 or older, who reside in the Arkansas Delta and are motivated to create change in their community and organization.

Curriculum
This program involves a mix of interactive and engaging work sessions as well as networking opportunities. Session topics will include:
- Goal Setting and Strategic Planning
- Self-Care and Stress Management
- Cultural Competence
- Influence and Negotiations
- Mentorship
- Communications and Confidence
Program Cost
There is no program cost. Travel stipends for lodging and mileage will be available, as needed.
