Why did you choose to study at A-State? I choose A-State because it has a good school atmosphere, the tuition is cheap, and it was my first time going abroad so I chose A-State as my starting point.
What were you hoping to gain from joining our English as a Second Language program? When I joined the program, A-State's English Learning Academy, I hoped that studying here would help me improve my English. English is my second language and the language I must learn if I want to attend college in the United States. I chose to join this program because it would give me more time to adjust to life and the environment in the United States. I can learn a lot of vocabulary and phrases that are commonly used in the U.S. and improve my grammar and listening here. When I graduated from ESL, I felt very confident in my life, whether I was communicating with others or studying in college, I felt very relaxed. That's why I came here to study English.
What do you believe is the best part of our English Learning Academy? The best part of my experience at A-State's English Learning Academy is that every teacher here is very friendly to the students. Many international students come to the United States to study and their biggest concern is not understanding the lessons. If you come to A-State's English Learning Academy, you will find that the teachers are very accommodating to the international students and will use simple vocabulary and speak slowly to help students understand. Not only will the teachers help you in class, but if you have a problem that you don't understand in class, you can even stay after class to discuss it with the teachers. I have now finished my studies at A-State's English Learning Academy, but I still go back to ESL for help when I don't know something because all the teachers at ESL are very responsible and will help me find information on the internet even if I don't know a topic, they are not familiar with. information. I would recommend A-State's English Learning Academy to other students because the learning atmosphere I felt here was very good and you can meet many new people from different countries here. International students can improve their English and adjust to college life in the United States by studying at A-State's English Learning Academy. A lot of what I learned at A-State's English Learning Academy is something I never learned in China, and this knowledge has helped make my college experience less stressful, such as how to use MLA format, Root Words, and how to take quick notes in class. Not only can you get help from the teachers here, but there are also international ambassadors who can help you. The international ambassadors from different countries are like friends to the students at A-State's English Learning Academy and they help the international students here with their academic and life challenges. When I graduated from A-State's English Learning Academy, I felt more confident speaking English and very much improved in all areas of listening, reading, grammar, and writing!
