Community Friends

International Community Friends program provides a platform for interested community members to get involved with the international program at A-State. We have international students from over 60 different countries that desire to experience the American culture and improve their English language skills. We want to provide the students with the best possible experiences and memories of their time studying at A-State and living in Jonesboro.

International Community Friends program will enable the office of International Student Services to work with church groups or any other volunteers in the community who are willing to assist and establish relationship with international students via program such as host family, transportation assistance, picnic etc. Our office would be the point of contact and facilitate each party with required information.

Some of the activities volunteers and students can sign up are:

• Host Family (taking students out for shopping, meal or providing homestay option)
• Shopping transportation

• Family Picnic
• Movies
• Family Game night
• Dinner/Lunch
• Watch games/sports
• Trips
