The A-State Food Pantry was started through a Student Government Association resolution in February 2015. SGA approved the creation of the pantry, as well as start-up funding to provide equipment and resources. A-State Athletics provided use of the former soccer facility that summer, and the pantry officially opened in October. Since opening, the pantry, which is completely student-run, has served more than 4,000 Red Wolves in need.
The A-State Food Pantry serves A-State faculty, staff or students with a valid A-State ID. There are no income requirements.
For more information, contact pantry@AState.edu or the Leadership Center at 870-972-2055.
Please note: The A-State Food Pantry selects volunteers to serve weekly shifts for the entire semester. There are very limited opportunities to serve in a one-time capacity at this time. The most beneficial ways to help are by applying to serve weekly or hosting a food drive!
