The Research & Technology Transfer office and the A-State Student Research Council are hosting a student trip to the total solar eclipse balloon launch site in Fulton, MO, August 21, 2017.
This student experience trip is a kick-off for the Create @ State 2018 STEAM theme and initiative to engage the arts with the STEM disciplines. Students from the arts, sciences and journalism/media disciplines are encouraged to sign up at the following link to secure a seat on the chartered bus. This is a trip fully sponsored by the Research & Technology Transfer office.
Destination details are as follows:
August 21, 2017
3:45am: Load the chartered bus at the Dean B Ellis Library & leave for Fulton, MO
11:00am: Arrive in Fulton, MO for eclipse
11:00am - 1:00pm: Observe Dr. Kennon & his team as they facilitate the balloon launch
1:00-1:30pm: Full eclipse stage
2:00pm: Load bus and head back to Jonesboro, AR
8:00pm: Estimated arrival back to the Dean B Ellis Library
