For many students, the Honors College is an important factor in their decision to attend Arkansas State University. Honors Ambassadors guide prospective students through their college decision-making process by answering questions, offering personal advice, and supporting those who choose to come to A-State. For the 2023-2024 academic year, the Honors College will be accepting 20 exceptional students to serve as ambassadors.
Expectations of Honors Ambassadors
- Be a welcoming, authentic representative of the Honors College
- Be well-informed about A-State and the Honors College
- Offer excellent customer service to prospective students and their families
- Attend Honors special events
- Be a member of and encourage membership in HCA
Responsibilities of Honors Ambassadors
- Participate in Recruitment Events
- Participate in Operation Move-In
- Participate in Honors Welcome Week Events
- Be active on social media about Honors
- Participate in Honors Orientation (mid-May)
- Complete one office hour per week either meeting with a potential Honors student or assisting in the Honors office with recruitment activities

Stipend of $150/semester will be awarded to all Honors Ambassadors.
To receive a stipend the member must meet all responsibilities as outlined in Responsibilities of Honors Ambassadors above. You will be expected to assist in at least two large recruitment events per semester, but you can be called on for more as the schedule of events changes. If you unable to meet the requirements and miss without the approval of the Honors Ambassadors Coordinators and the Associate Director, the stipend can be adjusted or revoked to reflect your completion of responsibilities.
