Biography

Dr Hoffsis served as Founding Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Arkansas State University from 2023-2024 and currently serves as Professor at the College.

Dr Hoffsis served as founding Dean of the Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2013-2016. Previously, Glen served as Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at University of Florida from 2005-2013 and as Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University from 1993-2004. At OSU he served as Exec Dean of the Health Sciences Colleges. Prior to becoming dean Dr Hoffsis served as a faculty member serving as a specialist in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery. He completed a MS degree and residency training and became board certified by the American Board of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He conducted research and published about 100 publications.  He was Assoc. Director of Veterinary Services at Procter and Gamble Pet Health and Nutrition from 2004-2006. He is past president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges, past president of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and former Chair of the FDA- CVM Advisory Committee.  He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Live Oak Bank of Wilmington, NC.  He served six years as a member of the Board of Directors of Banfield Pet Hospitals, and five years on the Board of Trustees of Ross University.
