Description

Mass Communication is the study of sharing information through media outlets to reach large population segments. The primary focus of the M.S. in Mass Communications is on the fundamentals of communication theories enabling students to acquire the ability to understand and use basic methods of communication research.

    Some students with limited mass communications background may be required to complete some undergraduate and graduate performance courses as part of their programs of study. Please consult an advisor for additional information.

    APPLYING TO THE GRADUATE SCHOOL

    To apply to the Mass Communications program, simply complete the online application, found at the adjacent 'Apply Now' link, to the graduate school.  You will be prompted for the program in which you wish to apply for on the application. Once you have submitted all required documents to the graduate school, your application will be forwarded to the specific program for review.

    Admission to the Master of Science in Mass Communications program is based on a variety of evidence, including educational experience and record, professional experience, recommendations, and a written statement of purpose.
