James' Article Accepted by Business Journal
A research presentation last fall by Dr. Sharon James, assistant professor of management, for the College of Business led to a more in-depth article that has been accepted for publication by the prestigious Journal of Business Research. James' article, "Strategic Bankruptcy: A Stakeholder Management Perspective," is available online, and it will be assigned to a specific issue of the journal.

Faculty and Staff Lead Study-Abroad Trips
International trips led by A-State faculty members are concluding this week and next. In addition to those previously reported, adventurous students have participated in study-abroad trips to Costa Rica, Italy, Japan and Kuwait. Dr. Vicent Moreno, assistant professor of Spanish, Dr. Temma Balducci, associate professor of art, Kim Vickrey, professor of graphic design, Nikesha Nesbitt, director of integrative studies, and Dr. Gil Fowler, professor of strategic communication, are among those leading the study trips.

Bohn's Play Chosen for Festival Presentation
Tim Bohn, associate professor of theatre, participated recently in the Last Frontier Theatre Conference, held annually in Valdez, Alaska. One of his plays, "Clean to the Bone," was accepted in advance for presentation during the "play lab" segment of the conference. Bohn also is directing the next Summer Children's Theatre production at A-State, "Miss Electricity," which opens Wednesday, July 29, at Fowler Center.

Taylor Talks Red Wolves to Mississippi Club
Red Wolves assistant football coach Carl "Trooper" Taylor spoke recently to the DeSoto County Touchdown Club in Southaven, Mississippi, about his outlook for A-State's football team this fall and his personal coaching philosophy. He emphasized the importance of establishing positive personal relationships if one is to be successful when recruiting talented players. The article in the DeSoto Times-Tribune is online.

Book by Clements Receives Award
A book by Dr. William M. Clements, emeritus professor of English and folklore, has received another award. Imagining Geronimo: An Apache Icon in Popular Culture was published by the University of New Mexico Press and was reissued in paperback. The book deals with representations of Geronimo in various media, including contemporary and recent journalism, literature, film and photography. The New Mexico Book Association named it winner of its Cover and Jacket Design Award; earlier, Choice named it an "Outstanding Academic Title."
