Hall Selected for Vaughn Professorship
The first three recipients of the Vaughn Endowed Professorships were announced today. The first to be introduced was Dr. John D. Hall, professor of psychology and counseling. Hall, who joined the A-State faculty in 1991, is coordinator of the nationally approved school psychology track of the educational specialist degree program in psychology and counseling. Leslies Co-Author Chapter in New Book
Dr. Natalie Johnson Leslie, associate professor of secondary education, and Dr. H. Steve Leslie, instructor in business communication, are co-authors of a book chapter in the peer-reviewed Handbook of Research on Technology-Centric Strategies for Higher Education Administration. The chapter, "Technology in Higher Education Administration: 25 Years of Leveraging Changes to Content Delivery," examines a variety of factors that impact change, including technology, leadership strategies and policy.

Izadyar's Research Published in Top Journals
Three articles by Dr. Anahita Izadyar, assistant professor of chemistry, have been published in recent months by peer-reviewed journals with high impact factors. Her research team is focused on electrochemistry, analytical applications and development of electrochemical sensors, as well as nanoparticles, conductive polymers and other novel materials used in sensors. The articles were published in Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry.

Collison to Lead Percussion Workshop
Craig Collison, associate professor of music, has planned and organized an event for aspiring percussionists in the area high schools. The All-Region Percussion Clinic will be Saturday in the Fine Arts Center. Collison and others conducting the clinic will work with the music students and help them become more familiar with the music they will be performing in all-region adjudication. Details are online.

Eduardo is Adviser for Award-Winning Group
Congratulations to Dr. Claudio Eduardo Pinto, instructor in Spanish, for his work as adviser to the A-State chapter of the Sigma Delta Pi honor society. The chapter, reactivated just three years ago, has received its eighth national award, designation as an honor chapter for the students' outstanding activities from the past year. It is one of only 15 recipients out of more than 600 competing each year.
