Hannah Elected President of SACUBO
Dr. Russ Hannah, senior associate vice chancellor for finance/associate chief financial officer, was elected president of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) at the group's annual meeting in Orlando. SACUBO assists member institutions with issues affecting higher education. SACUBO’s current membership includes approximately 700 institutions and organizations across 14 southeastern states. Hannah’s term runs through May 2020.

Loar Now Leading Military Science Program
Maj. Joseph (Joe) Loar has been assigned as professor of military science in the Army ROTC Program at A-State. He was commissioned as an infantry officer after completing a bachelor's in history at the University of Tennessee. He also earned a master’s in military arts and science from the Command and General Staff College. Additional details are in an online news release.

Wallace is President of State Professional Group
Congratulations to Edwin Wallace, clinical coordinator in radiation therapy and academic adviser for health professions, who was elevated to serve as president of the Arkansas Society of Radiologic Technologists (ArSRT). Amber Wooten, assistant professor of diagnostic medical sonography and program director, was elected vice president. As president, Wallace will host the 2020 state conference in the new Red Wolf Convention Center at A-State.

Sullivan to Lead A-State's Choral Music Program
Dr. Ryan W. Sullivan has been appointed assistant professor of music and director of choral activities. He recently completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Texas, where he was named outstanding choral conducting student. At UNT he served as assistant conductor of the A Cappella Choir and the mostly graduate-level Collegium Singers. Details are in a news release.

Carvell Inducted by Boys State Hall of Fame
Richard Carvell, emeritus assistant professor of radio-television, was one of three persons inducted into the American Legion Arkansas Boys State Hall of Fame. Photographer for the Boys State program, Carvell is serving his second five-year appointment on the American Legion Boys State Commission, for which he is secretary. He was cited for dedication, service and contributions to Boys State and Arkansas' youth.
