Ahn's Research is Published in Math Journal
Congratulations to Dr. Jeongho Ahn, associate professor of mathematics, whose research has been published in the international Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics. In the article, Ahn presents a mathematical and numerical analysis of a differential equation system that describes the motion of elastic buckling bodies with an irreversible growth of a symmetric edged crack. His article is now available online through Springer Nature.

Hill is Co-Author of Sales Center Research
Dr. Katie Hill, assistant professor of marketing and director of the R.M. “Bob” Wood Sales Leadership Center, is a co-author with colleagues from Baylor and LSU of an article accepted for publication in the Journal of Marketing Education. The researchers compared the job performance of sales center leaders with and without a Ph.D., finding center directors with the terminal degree spend twice as much time on research.

Anderson Concludes Career at A-State
Best wishes to Brenda Anderson, associate professor of nursing, who is retiring. After joining the faculty in 2007, Anderson was promoted and awarded tenure in 2013. She served as the senior intensive care clinical coordinator since 2016. Among her many achievements, Anderson developed the original high acuity course for the RN to BSN program at its inception, and helped complete reports for the recent accreditation visit.

Lott Appointed to Esports Advisory Council
Stephanie Lott, Title IX and institutional equity coordinator, has been invited to serve on the advisory council of the Unified Esports Association. Lott serves as A-State's esports program director and head coach. Her appointment is a recognition of the reputation A-State's esports program has built through its first year. Her term will continue as long as A-State is in good standing with UCEA.

Bradley and Bruce Compare Survey Types
Dr. Robert Bradley (right), assistant professor of athletic training, and Dr. Scott Bruce, associate professor of athletic training, are co-authors of an article in The Sport Journal. Bradley reviewed 10 years of published articles by athletic trainers, and compared the survey methods. He found that conventional mail often had a better return rate than email and web-based methods; however, research based on a low return rate is often published.
