Sharma to Serve as Conference General Chair
Dr. Rajesh Sharma, associate professor of renewable energy technology, will serve as general chair of the Electrostatics Society of America annual meeting in Memphis this summer. The meeting will provide opportunities for students and faculty to present a paper or participate in conference sessions. Also, Sharma was featured in WalletHub's article about the greenest states, providing his perspective on the balance of environmental policy with economic development.

Tabor’s Reports Aired by National Public Radio
Two reports by Brandon Tabor, KASU Radio, about the impact of the recent tornado that heavily damaged the city of Wynne, were picked up for broadcast on “All Things Considered,” the afternoon news program produced by National Public Radio. KASU is an NPR member station. Tabor, who joined KASU in 2015, was recently promoted to news director, succeeding Johnathan Reaves, who remains with A-State as an academic adviser. Lee is Co-Author of Award-Winning Poster
Dr. Jaein Lee, assistant professor of sociology, was lead author of two papers presented at the Population Association of America (PAA) annual conference in New Orleans. He and his co-author from UT-San Antonio received the PAA poster award for “Religion, Religiosity and Acceptance of Suicide in South Korea,” in which they concluded that protestants in South Korea are the most religious group and also the least accepting of suicide.

Sullivan is Panelist on Preparing Sports Media
Dustin Sullivan, instructor in creative media production, was a panelist during the Broadcast Educators of America conference in Las Vegas. He and the other panelists discussed how sports media professors and instructors can guide students to become more well-rounded members of the sports media, rather than solely being focused on being play-by-play or primary on-camera talent positions. Sullivan also shared tips and suggestions for educators who prepare these students for the job market.

Keating Receives April PROPS Recognition
Caleb Keating, Information and Technology Services, is the April recipient of the PROPS (Proudly Recognizing Our Pack Staff) recognition. Keating, who moved from part-time to full-time during the pandemic, has assisted with the transition to online instruction, installing cameras and microphones for classrooms.
