Rollins is Lead Editor for Award-Winning Textbook
Jeannean Rollins, associate professor of medical imaging and radiation sciences, and mammography program coordinator, is lead editor for the highest-selling radiography procedures textbook, Merrill's Atlas of Radiographic Positioning and Procedures, 3-Volume Set. The 15th edition has garnered a 2024 Textbook & Academic Authors Association William Holmes McGuffey Longevity Award. Baker to Serve as Panelist on Homeschooling
Dr. Timberly Baker, associate professor of educational leadership, will be one of eight panelists invited to present their expertise during a session on the rise of homeschooling and its impact on education in America. The Institute for Education Policy and School of Education at Johns Hopkins University and EdChoice are introducing the Homeschool Hub, a resource for homeschooling data and research. Pan and Bhandari Research Food Choice Factors
An article by Dr. Po-Lin Pan (left), professor, and Dr. Manu Bhandari (right), associate professor, strategic communication, has been published in American Behavioral Scientist. Their study examines body mass index (BMI), obesity knowledge and self-efficacy, along with online nutrition information seeking (ONIS), as key antecedents to healthy food purchase (HFP) in a moderated mediation model. They found that the impact of ONIS on HFP was significantly generated by obesity knowledge, but not by BMI.

Rolland and Team Research Bluebird Recovery
Dr. Virginie Rolland, professor of quantitative wildlife ecology, and her team of students are well into springtime bluebird nest monitoring. Their work to help the bluebird population recover was featured on KAIT-TV. Many birds died as a result of the 2021 snowstorm. Rolland distributes a newsletter to residents along the “trail” where 150 bluebird houses are located to apprise them of the ongoing research. Reports from their observations also are on Facebook.

Leitterman is Finalist for The American Prize
Dr. Kristin Leitterman, assistant professor of oboe, and woodwind coordinator, has been named a finalist for The American Prize in the category of instrumental soloists, professional division. The American Prize is a national non-profit competition in the performing arts. The American Prize is designed to recognize and reward the best performing artists, directors, ensembles and composers, based on submitted recordings.
