A-State Continuing Education and Community Outreach Offering Workshops

JONESBORO ­­­­­­­– Continuing Education and Community Outreach (CECO) is offering new workshops and classes for the spring semester.

The community education program provides adult and family non-credit, continuing education opportunities responsive to the interests and needs of community citizens. They also provide a variety of campus events, workshops and classes for personal enrichment, professional development, hobby and leisure for all ages ranging from pre-school through adult.

Here is a sampling of upcoming professional development seminars:

­­–– “Effective Public Speaking,” Two Thursdays, Feb. 20 & 27, 1-4 p.m., $80. Participants will learn successful techniques, providing them with the confidence and skills needed to master public speaking. Evening trainings are available upon request. Instructor: Chris Harper.

–– “Delegation: ‘The Best Way to Develop Responsibility in People is to give them Responsibility’,” Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1-4 p.m., $40. Participants will explore the skills necessary to accomplish one's tasks and achieve one's goals.  Instructor: Geania Dickey.

The Continuing Education and Community Outreach (CECO) office has recently relocated and is now in the Ellis House at 2004 E. Nettleton Ave., Jonesboro.
