ASU Pre-Law Club to host Mississippi College School of Law director March 5

03/01/2013

JONESBORO, Ark. — Jay C. Armstrong, assistant director of Admissions at the Mississippi College School of Law, is the featured speaker at the Arkansas State University’s Pre-Law Club meeting Tuesday, March 5, in the Delta Center for Economic Development, Room 110, at 4 p.m.

All interested students, faculty and staff are invited. Non-members of the club and students from all majors are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Those considering a career in law are welcome to attend and listen to an interesting and informative presentation on the law school application process generally, applying to Mississippi College in particular, and life as a law school student. Students can also learn about community service activities of the club, joining the ASU Moot Court team, and plans for the rest of the academic year.

A short business meeting will precede the talk, focusing on the upcoming spring trip for the club. Those interested in the trip are encouraged to attend the meeting. A sign-up sheet will be available. This multi-day trip will allow ASU students to visit three law schools over the course of several days. Last year’s multi-day trip included visits to UA-Fayetteville School of Law and the University of Tulsa School of Law.
