Carlitta M. Moore Named Vice Chancellor for Access and Institutional Engagement
JONESBORO – Arkansas State University Chancellor Dr. Todd Shields has named Dr. Carlitta M. Moore vice chancellor for access and institutional engagement.
“I look forward to working with Chancellor Shields, the leadership team, and the community to advance the mission, vision, and values of A-State,” said Moore.
“My role will focus on shaping the campus community into one that is welcoming, supportive, and conducive to learning and growth for all individuals,” she continued.
She said the office will continue its steadfast commitment to serving as a champion for all while contributing to the success of the institution and its students.
“I am thrilled that Carlitta has agreed to carry on the important work of Dr. Lonnie Williams as we foster a campus culture where every Red Wolf feels a sense of belonging and has access to the resources they need to achieve in the classroom and beyond,” said Shields.
“As we move into the future, this is an opportunity to retain and cultivate meaningful connections between the institution and its various stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader community; through enhanced support networks, mentorship opportunities and collaborative initiatives which will benefit everyone,” added Moore.
The reconfigured division of access and institutional engagement will be dedicated to enriching the educational experience for all stakeholders and preparing them to thrive in any environment.
In her time at A-State, Moore has held several positions, working as clinical education coordinator and as associate professor for the Master of Athletic Training program.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fayetteville State University, a master’s degree in health and human performance with a concentration in athletic training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership with a concentration in higher education from Fayetteville State University.
“Embarking on this new journey of ensuring the campus is accessible to all individuals, and an environment where you feel valued is an enriching experience I am excited to lead,” Moore continued.
