Fall Commencement will be Morning Ceremony, Dec. 13

JONESBORO – Fall commencement at Arkansas State University will be one ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Convocation Center, according to Dr. Gina Hogue, associate vice chancellor for academic services.

The ceremony will be for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates from all academic colleges, not split into morning and afternoon sessions as in recent years.

"We believe changing from our traditional two ceremonies to one held mid-morning will be more convenient for the students and faculty," she explained.  "Commencement is a special time, and we want this day to very enjoyable for everyone involved.  This early notice will help parents, families and friends who may be making travel and overnight plans."
