First Presentation in Music Faculty Recital Series for 2013-14 is Tuesday, Sept. 24

JONESBORO – The first presentation in the Arkansas State University Department of Music's 2013-2014 Faculty Recital Series will be Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall.  Admission is free, and the public is welcome.

The music faculty members on the program are Dr. Lauren Clark, associate professor; Dr. Dale Clark, instructor; Dr. Guy Harrison, assistant professor; Dr. Marika Kyriakos, associate professor; and Mr. Matt Carey, assistant professor.

Their recital program selections include: “Sonata in F-Sharp Major, Op. 78” by Ludwig van Beethoven, Fantasy for Bassoon Solo, Op. 86 by Malcolm Arnold, “Schon lacht der holde Fruhling, K580” by W.A. Mozart, “Our Revels Now Are Ended From The Tempest” by Lee Hoiby, “Jim’s Soliloquy” from “The Gift of the Magi” by David Conte, and “I am John Proctor” from “The Crucible” by Robert Ward.
