Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum to Participate in Holiday Tour of Homes Fundraiser
JONESBORO – The holiday season is upon us and one of the Arkansas State University Heritage Sites is celebrating by participating in a Holiday Tour of Homes.
The event, which is a fundraiser for the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center in Piggott, will take place from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.
“The tour will feature the historical Pfeiffer-Janes home, the home of Cody and Cassie Knight, and the home of Tony and Dana Smithmeir,” said Shannon Williams, director of the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center.
This will be the third year for the tour of homes.
“Each home will be beautifully decorated for Christmas. The museum will feature period decorations from the 1920s and 30s,” Williams added.
She said the home tour will include the year the home was built and architectural elements unique to each residence.
Limited tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at the museum, located at 1021 West Cherry St. in Piggott. For more information, contact the museum at 870-598-3487.
