Herget to Lecture at Entrepreneurship & Innovation Speaker Series
JONESBORO – Ted Herget, owner and founder of Gearhead Outfitters, will be the featured speaker Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the first installment of the Arkansas State Entrepreneurship & Innovation Speaker Series. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Speaker Series will be held three times this fall in the Reng Student Union auditorium.
Herget, a 1997 graduate of Arkansas State, founded Gearhead Outfitters in downtown Jonesboro that same year, and the business has since expanded to nine locations in Arkansas, and one each in Missouri and Louisiana. He has also been instrumental in the revitalization of downtown Jonesboro. His presentation, titled “Always Running: A Dynamic Story of Business and Change,” will be held from 1-2 p.m., with a reception to follow.
Other presentations from the Arkansas State Entrepreneurship & Innovation Speaker Series this fall include “Getting the Green: Small Business Loans and Grants,” on Oct. 11 and “The Women’s Business Leadership Center Presents: Entrepreneur Extraordinaires,” on Nov. 13. Both the October and November sessions will be held from 1-2:15 p.m., also in the Reng Student Union auditorium.
