JONESBORO – The Department of Music at Arkansas State University will present the third concert in the 2015-2016 Faculty Recital Series on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center’s Riceland Hall.

The recital will feature faculty members Lauren Schack Clark, Chris Wilson, Bethania Baray, and Matthew Carey, along with guests Limmie Pulliam, Luca Strazzullo, and Sean Quaresima.  Admission is free.

The program will include a performance of “Under Western Skies” by Kevin McKee, performed by Lauren Schack Clark, Chris Wilson, and Sean Quaresima.  Dr. Clark will then play “Sonata in F, Op. 10, No. 2” by Beethoven.

Bethania Baray will be singing “Glitter and Be Gay” from Bernstein's "Candide," and she will be joined by collaborative pianist, Luca Strazzullo.

Matthew Carey, Limmie Pulliam, and Luca Strazzullo will then follow up with “In un coupe? Compariglia e livree” from Act IV of La Bohème and “Ascolta! Le porte dell’asil s’apron già” from Act II of Don Carlo.

The audience is also encouraged to visit the Bradbury Art Museum.  The current installation is the Delta National Small Prints Exhibition, featuring artwork ranging from traditional imagery and printmaking techniques to monotypes and experimental print mediums.  The museum is also featuring “Cloth as Community: Hmong Textiles in America,” which is a program of ExhibitsUSA.  The exhibition features textiles including flower cloths and embroidered story cloths by members of the Hmong community who descend from Southeast Asia, most notably Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.
