Narain to Present Seminar for Biology Students and Faculty
JONESBORO – Dr. Niven Narain, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Berg Health, will speak at Arkansas State University Wednesday, Oct. 31.
As part of the university's Biology Seminar series, Narain will speak at Arkansas Biosciences Institute, room 107, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
“It is an honor to host Dr. Narain. His work on artificial intelligence (AI) and medicine is on the cutting edge of healthcare," said Dr. Thomas S. Risch, interim associate vice chancellor for research. "Approaches that employ AI for increasing the effectiveness of diagnoses and treatments are also being developed by research faculty at ABI, so we are excited to have Dr. Narain on campus to interact with our faculty and students.”
Narain's presentation is titled, “Engineering the Future of Drug Discovery and Healthcare using Artificial Intelligence and the Patient Phenome.”
Prior to this public presentation at ABI, he also will have lunch and informal discussions with graduate students about research, careers and related topics.
