Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship Awarded to Ann Marie Long

07/26/2024

JONESBORO – Ann Marie Long, who graduated from Arkansas State University this spring with bachelor’s degrees in political science and history, has been awarded a $8,500 Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship.

“I am honored to have received this graduate fellowship. Phi Kappa Phi’s dedication to helping students pursue educational opportunities at home and abroad is really great, and I am happy to represent them and A-State as I use this fellowship to fund my graduate-level education,” said Long.

While on campus, Long, a Jackson, Mo., native, was a 2024 Distinguished Service Award recipient, an Honors College Executive Council member, Student Government Association senator, Action Fund commissioner, and an intern with the Women’s Business Leadership Center.

Long will begin at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C., where she is seeking a master’s degree in security studies. Her goal is to work in national security as an intelligence analyst or researcher.

Phi Kappa Phi Fellowships are awarded annually. Long is among 54 recipients of the $8,500 fellowship. These awards are for students entering the first year of their graduate studies.
