State Board Approves New and Reconfigured Degree and Certificate Programs for 2022-23
JONESBORO – At its most recent quarterly meeting, Friday, April 29, the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved new degree and certificate programs to be offered by Arkansas State University.
The existing Bachelor of Science in sport management was approved for offering online.
Several degree and certificate programs will be reconfigured to create new degree programs:
- The new Bachelor of Science (BS) in actuarial science will be reconfigured from the BS in mathematics, BS in finance, and BS in information systems and business analytics.
- The new Bachelor of Science in construction management will be reconfigured from the BS in engineering management systems, BS in engineering technology, BS in agriculture, and BS in business administration.
- The new Bachelor of Science in hospitality and event tourism management will be reconfigured from the BS in management, emphasis in hospitality management.
- The new Master of Science (MS) in applied digital technology will be reconfigured from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in business administration.
A new undergraduate certificate program, athlete name, image and likeness (NIL) promotion, also was approved.
