JONESBORO – Arkansas State University Museum will open its newest exhibit, "Sun, Earth, Universe," Friday, Jan. 17.

"This engaging and interactive exhibit about Earth and space science is tailor-made for family audiences and is sure to please inquisitive future astronomers," said Jill Kary, museum curator of education.

How is Earth changing? What is it like on other planets? Does life exist beyond Earth? What's happening on the Sun, and how does it affect us? "Sun, Earth, Universe," which continues at A-State through April 18, answers these questions and more.

"Filled with fun activities and dazzling imagery, this exhibit introduces visitors to ongoing NASA research in the fields of heliophysics, Earth science, planetary science, and astrophysics," Kary explained. "Participating guests are encouraged to build, play and use their imaginations to 'explore' space and discover its hidden surprises."

The "Sun, Earth, Universe" exhibit was developed in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and distributed nationwide by the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Network).  The exhibit content is based upon work supported by NASA.

The National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Network) is a national community of informal educators and scientists dedicated to fostering public awareness, engagement and understanding of current science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
