Tavin Dillard fundraiser show to benefit ASU Mechanical Engineering Department
JONESBORO, Ark. — Tavin Dillard, fondly known as a trailer park resident who does family friendly clean comedy, will present a show at Arkansas State University, Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Carl R. Reng Center Student Union Auditorium, 101 North Caraway Road. Parking is available and free in the parking garage adjacent to the Reng Center. Proceeds from the show will benefit ASU’s Department of Mechanical Engineering scholarship fund and student competition teams.
The Dillard show gets underway at 7 p.m. and general admission tickets are $15. A VIP tickets is $35 and includes an autograph session, VIP seating and the ticket holder’s choice of a t-shirt or a Tavin Dillard DVD.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have Tavin Dillard on our campus to help raise funds for the mechanical engineering program,” said Dr. Brad Edgar, director of Mechanical Engineering. “What makes his appearance even more special is that Tavin already has ties with Arkansas State. His grandfather helped to build the A&M arch in the middle of campus.”
Dillard is the alter ego for Joel Berry, who has a production company called Sweet Tea Films, where he scripts, shoots and edits video projects. His videos may be viewed online at http://sweetteafilms.com/.
