Biography
Dr. Catherine C. Reese is a Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Political Science at Arkansas State University. She teaches public budgeting and finance, Women and Politics, public human resource management, and public policy courses, including several on the politics and popular culture of different decades. Dr. Reese is the 2009 recipient of the ASU Board of Trustees Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Articles by Dr. Reese have appeared in Public Administration Review, Public Budgeting & Finance, the Review of Public Personnel Administration, and Politics & Policy. She has several co-authored chapters in Readings in Arkansas Politics & Government, which came out in December 2019, of which she was also co-editor. She released an e-book in December 2022 entitled Fair Pay for Women: Time for a Revolution, available on Apple Books. Her research interests include the gender pay gap, state-level public policy, human resource management, and public budgeting and finance.
