Biography

I earned my BSN in 2008 from Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis, TN. Upon moving to Jonesboro, AR, I started my nursing career in labor and delivery. During that time, I was introduced to one of my mentors, a former Arkansas State University nursing professor. While earning my MSN in nursing education from University of Southern Indiana, I began working as adjunct clinical faculty. I joined the faculty at Arkansas State University in 2013. I completed my Doctorate of Education with a nursing education focus in 2022 from Teachers College Columbia University. Primary teaching interests include maternal-newborn nursing. Research interests include academic integrity in nursing programs and predicting student success on the NCLEX licensure exam.
