Biography

I started my nursing career as a CNA my senior year of high school and then completed my LVN in December of 2009. I started working in long term care and quickly learned that I needed to continue going to school so I could do more. I graduated with my ADN from Amarillo College in 2012 and began working on a busy medical surgical floor. I cross trained to help in the Emergency Department and lower acuity ICU patients. I graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 and quickly began my career as an educator in the LVN program at Amarillo College. I then graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in December of 2016 with a Masters of Science in Nursing Education. While teaching full time I continued working in the Emergency Department and ICU. I started working with Arkansas State University through Instructional Connections as an Academic Assistant in February 2017. I am so excited to get back to education with A-State full time! I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals and truly look forward to seeing students succeed.
