Biography

Fredrick Webb is currently an Assistant Professor in the Social Work Program at Arkansas State University. He is pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Social Work at Jackson State University, reflecting his dedication to advancing academic excellence. Fredrick holds a Master of Social Work from Arkansas State University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. With these experiences, Fredrick brings over a decade of experience in social work practice, having worked in roles such as case manager, community organizer, and social worker. His commitment to education is evident through his teaching roles, encompassing Social Welfare Policy, Social Problems, and Rural Social Work Policy Analysis courses. Fredrick actively participates in scholarly activities, presenting posters at conferences such as the Council on Social Work Educational Annual Program Meeting and Jackson State University. His research interests span African-American Families/Males, Diversity Issues, and the impact of perceived racism on academic persistence for African-American male college students. Beyond academia, Fredrick is engaged in community service, volunteering for initiatives such as Visual Performance Arts Elementary School and Community Clean Up with Kappa Alpha Psi. His multifaceted contributions extend to affiliations with organizations like the Association of Arkansas State University Black Social Workers, Jonesboro Community Social Work Board, and the National Association of Black Social Workers, showcasing his holistic dedication to the social work profession.
