Graduating with distinction from Arkansas State University in Summer 2024, Alandria Maddox joins the Department of Music as a Music Administrator Analyst. With over nine years of experience in band, she has demonstrated her leadership as the first Black Female Drum Major for The Sound of the Natural State, as well as through her roles as a clarinet and sousaphone player. A former CLAC Ambassador and recipient of more than seven scholarships throughout her college career, Alandria also gained attention with her viral Homecoming Queen video from fall 2023, where she was seen being crowned and then conducting the marching band in her crown and green dress. Her commitment to music education and administration fuels her enthusiasm to contribute to the musical community at Arkansas State.
